Mod would:
[*]show count of active/inactive users X days from U_Laston OR from their last post
[*]change user's title to "Inactive" (cronJob):
(1) after X days
(2) if user still has 0 posts after Y days
[*]shade their posts e.g. .postInactive style
[*]send user an email to verify account after Z days of being inactive
[*]?

I like it, great idea!

Agreed, it is a good idea. However, I would prefer to have the criteria to be failure to login rather than post a message, as there are many who lurk []http://the-highway.com/Smileys/lurker.gif[/] daily just to read new posts. Of course, whoever is proficient enough to create such a hack could probably offer the ability to choose either "login" or "post".
